Practical Web Design Magazine

Don’t know about you, but I love me some geek reading. Unfortunately, there are only so many books I can read in my ‘spare time.’ So recently, I picked up the Practical Web Design Magazine, which is a great monthly UK publication dedicated to “Helping you build better websites.”

Each issue is packed with news, reviews, how-to articles, and clever tips. And if that’s not enough, they include a CD filled with cool stuff including audio of the Practical Web Design Podcast as well as free software, video lessons, and tutorial files.

Oh, and a babe on the cover. 🙂

You don’t have to be a total egghead to get something useful from each issue. A lot of the content is aimed at amateur designers, but even experienced designers and developers will likely find some helpful geekery.

I buy Practical Web Design from a local book shop and have to say that the $15+ (with tax) is more than worth it. You can also subscribe directly from their site.

I first heard about this magazine through Paul Boag of boagworld.com fame, who also hosts the Practical Web Design podcast. I highly recommend this podcast for designers, as well as Paul’s own boagworld.com podcast, which is distributed weekly and reviewed here.

So, check out Practical Web Design if you need some helpful web design reading and listening.

Did I mention the hottie? 🙂
